Well Pict European Portugal
Well Pict European Port ugal is a
producer,
packer,
marketer and
exporter of high quality
berries. Since being established in 1997(formally known as
AMS
Portugal), our production has grown to 40 Hectares of mostly tunnelled, table
top production. The recently improved packhouse facilities provides blast
coolers as well as normal cooling facilities allowing us to manage up to 250
pallets of fruit at any given time.
Well Pict European Portugal has always
tried to be ahead of its time, not only in terms of techniques, but also on the
types of varieties of
strawberries.
The farm
has benefited from the relationship with WellPict Inc, and directly from its
owner
Tim Miasaka, that is also a partner in Well Pict Portugal. This close
relationship has provided Well-Pict Portugal with access to the previously
exclusive breeding program from Plant Sciences which is sponsored partially by
Well-Pict Inc.
Due to the good shelf life and flavour created by the unique
Portuguese
micro-climate enjoyed on the west coast, our berries are popular in both
Portugal and Northern Europe with the UK being our largest market. Working
closely with Wellpict Spain ensures that our fruit reaches its destination in
the quickest time, helping maintain a freshness & quality that can be enjoyed by
all our customers.
