Agronomy. Varietal development is key to our commercial success and consequently Wellpict has an ongoing research & development programme with both Reading University and Plant Science Inc.   This allows us to develop new trial varieties & production methods that continually improve our quality, whilst allowing our customers to expand their sales, with a product that is repeatedly purchased. 

Growing.  In addition to our own & directly managed farms in Scotland, England, Portugal, South Africa and in the USA, Wellpict European have an experienced grower base in all the important soft fruit growing regions of the world. This wide range of locations builds upon expertise in the agronomic practices and varieties most suited to producing good quality fruit. Crops are monitored for water usage and nutrient requirements to encourage high yields of excellent quality fruit.  By constantly scrutinising the quality of fruit, we can react quickly to instigate changes to growing or picking regimes to make sure that we delight the consumer.

Global Sourcing. Our dedicated procurement teams have long standing relationships with our growing partners around the world. Detailed knowledge of each grower and an understanding of their particular advantages, allows us to supply the right product at the right time, every time.  By importing what is seasonally available, we ensure reliable year round availability.  Our on-site technical teams provide high levels of support to ensure that all fruit coming out of these farms meets with our stringent quality demands.

Packing & Quality Assurance. All parts of our business are fully accredited to British Retail Consortium (BRC) higher level and we offer full traceability from field to shelf. Technical expertise remains at the heart of our operation with the core of the business centred at our bespoke soft fruit pack house in Evesham. Produce is supplied to the pack house 364 days of the year to provide customers with the highest possible levels of consistency and reliability. Due Diligence records are stored on our custom built Grower Approval System (GAS) website. This information can be accessed from around the world making our records available to colleagues & growers in minutes instead of hours.

Fresh Logistics. From the operational base at the Evesham Distribution centre we provide Wellpict-European and other customers with an efficient & reliable ‘total logistics’ solution. Our central location allows us to deliver to all the major multiples’ depots on the same day while co-ordinating air, sea & road freight from around the world. A modern and varied fleet of vehicles expertly managed by a dedicated team that are always ready to help deliver a total logistics solution to growers & customers alike. Now a primary haulier for the major multiples, WPEFL can also offer cross docking, picking and storage for refrigerated fresh produce.

Sales & Marketing. Our sales and marketing operations are strategically placed around Europe to maximise cross-border market penetration and provide invaluable local knowledge and support. Since being formed in 2002, Wellpict European Tunnels has grown from strength to strength and manufactures and markets tunnels which are dispatched all over the world. Although originally set up to manufacture tunnels for WPE, the revolutionary concepts and competitive pricing soon infiltrated into the Iberian & European market. 

All operations and logistics are handled at the Honeybourne site were WET has their stores. The factory in Portugal is geared to produce the entire range of steel work with the use of precision tooling, robotic welders and quality certified raw materials.  We specialise in producing Spanish Tunnels, Polytunnels, Telescopic Tunnels, Greenhouses, Tabletops, and other Growing Systems.

Operating from their offices & cold store on the important Rungis market site near Paris, the newest member of the well Pict family was formed in 2006 to supply French customers with premium ‘exotic’ fruits. Well Pict European (Scotland) Ltd - producer, packer and distributor of high quality Scottish berries. The farm which has 100 acres of tunnelled production and a modern 16,000 sq feet BRC accredited packhouse, supplies Scottish Supermarkets and local outlets with high quality Strawberries, Raspberries, Redcurrants, Blackcurrants & Blackberries.

In addition to our own production, we are also supplied fruit by our growing partners in Perth & Aberdeen. Our farm is situated in Angus, on the east cost of Scotland, one of the most fertile regions in the UK. Scotland is famously regarded for their high quality berries and WPE Scotland proudly maintains that tradition.

Producer, packer, marketer and exporter of high quality berries. Since being established in 1997, our production has grown to 40 Hectares of mostly tunnelled, table top production. The recently improved packhouse facilities provides blast coolers as well as normal cooling facilities allowing us to manage up to 250 pallets of fruit at any given time.

Due to the good shelf life and flavour created by the unique Portuguese micro-climate enjoyed on the west coast, our berries are popular in both Portugal and Northern Europe with the UK being our largest market.  Working closely with Wellpict Spain ensures that our fruit reaches its destination in the quickest time, helping maintain a freshness & quality that can be enjoyed by all our customers.
